Tennis player Joao Sousa is one of the most talented and accomplished players on the ATP Tour today. Hailing from Portugal, the 28-year-old has been climbing up the ranks since he entered the professional circuit in 2007. Sousa is currently ranked 41st in the world and won his first singles title at the 2018 Morocco Open.
Sousa’s career-high ranking of 32nd came in 2014 and he has reached two ATP finals, both of which were held in Portugal. He holds a clay court win over world number one Rafael Nadal, as well as victories over other high-profile players such as Novak Djokovic, Kei Nishikori, and David Goffin. In doubles play, he has reached six finals with his highest achievement coming in 2013 when he won the Estoril Open with partner Leonardo Mayer.
Off court, Joao Sousa is well known for his charity work. Since 2014 he has been involved with a mentoring program to help young Portuguese tennis players reach their potential and become successful professionals. The first thing we can tell you about the lovely Ms. Llort is that she and Joao have been dating for more than eight years. Julia is from Spain; she met the Portuguese athlete a couple of years after he decided to move to Barcelona at the age of 15, in 2004.
Julia Llort graduated from Sagrat Cor- Sarria Elementary School in Barcelona, Spain and IES Domenech i Muntaner where she graduated from in 2013.
Subsequently, enrolled at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 2013; she expects to receive her degree in Engineering in Geomatics & Geoinformation in 2021.
